Post Falls Picnic

Saturday we went out to Post Falls Idaho to the Falls Park. We packed up some dinner and went with our friends Erica and Jared and their little girl Andie. David, Ashley and Mia also met us out there for some food and to enjoy the warm weather. The kids had a lot of fun on the playground. Sydney loved the swings and Talan and Mia just chased each other all around. It is so cute to watch them interact together as cousins and friends. After the afternoon at the park we went back to our place and took a bike ride with David, Ashley and Mia. We rode on the centennial trail from our place to Krispy Kreme Donuts and back. That has been our new family activity we enjoy and favorite bike ride but we should probably look for a new destination because we always get some donuts when we stop :) We also have discovered that Sydney doesn't like to ride in the bike trailer with Talan for long rides. Talan usually gets buggy and likes to give Sydney squeezes which makes her loose it. It was great to put Talan with Mia and Sydney being a princess loved having the trailer to herself. The week before we went with Gretchen and Bart on the same bike ride and Sydney had to go on the back of Gretchen's bike seat and Bailey in the trailer with Talan. Sydney really liked being out of the trailer and up high behind the bike so we may need to look into those bike seats as well. We would love it if the warm weather would just decide to stay so we could continue our bike rides.

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was great. Friday was my sister Gretchen's birthday and we went to Wicked that night. Saturday morning we went to the temple and were sealed as a family:) Pictures and the post of the sealing soon to come. Then we had a lunch at Joe's parents with both our immediate families to celebrate the wonderful morning. That evening we had a big Moore family get together with Grandma and Grandpa Moore in town. Aunt Vicki and Uncle Doug with Jaden. Aunt Lynette and Uncle Loren, cousins Tia and Dave with Maverick, Cherise and her boys Lucas and Carter, Christie and Mike with baby Jane were all there. We missed all of our other Moore family but had a fun time with those present. Lindsey and Chad were also in town that weekend with Jenna and Leah so it was a lot of fun for us to hangout with our kids. Im sad we dont have any pictures of us adult cousins but there are some cute ones of our kids playing outside. Talan with Carter and Sydney.

1/2 Marathon

About 3 weeks ago I ran my first half marathon and it was great. I never thought i would get to the point of enjoying to run but i actually really like running the long distances. And by long distances i mean around 12 miles :) Maybe somewhere down the road i will consider a marathon but that will have to be when my kids aren't young and i can actually have time to train and run longer distances more often. Not saying moms with young kids can't but its a little hard when i have a husband who is an extreme runner and i would rather support him them make him give up running time for me (he enjoys running WAY more than me). Running time consists of early early morning before the kids wake up and no im not gonna run with a jogging stroller. Its hard. But i would like to keep up the running as much as i can and maybe look for a race when Joe is finished with his 50 mile and 100 mile races this summer. Yes him, his brothers and mom are crazy for wanting to run that much but if thats what they enjoy:)

Hanging Out!

A bunch of random pictures from newest to oldest.

Talan has a mouth full!

Sydney has a mouth full and looks funny in this picture. Its been so hot and muggy in our house so i experimented with Sydney's hair and did a three ponytail hairdo so we could get all the hair out of her face and off her neck

Talan and Sydney eating cereal in the play kitchen. Talan loves to help himself to the food in the pantry and often will find something to share with Sydney.
SO BIG!
So funny when Talan puts his hands behind his head when he sleeps.
She loves the mirror.

Playing with cousin Mia.
Don't ask me why Talan is posing with his hands up by his cheeks. Yes this is something we have never seen and maybe hes doing what girls do because he is playing with his cousins Bailey and Brooklyn and wearing a bunch of mardi gras necklaces.
Cousin Bailey
Talan kept putting more and more necklaces on and running around grandmas kitchen with Bailey and Brooklyn. He was really fascinated by all the necklaces.
I have found Sydney like this more and more times the dishwasher gets left open. She loves the silverware which can be dangerous so we watch her closely. Talan often joins her which is also not good for them to put both their weight sitting on the dishwasher together.

Car ride!

These are not great pictures of me and i am in sweats because it was late at night but we had a crown making party with Erica and Jared (our friends and neighbors) to get in the royal wedding spirit. It was pretty funny we decorated the crowns around 10 at night and our neighbors woke up in the middle of the night to watch the royal wedding live but me and joe just couldn't seem to get ourselves that motivated so we watched the recaps in the morning. We have the best neighbors and friends and love that they are so creative with what we do.

Jenn and Scott are Married!!!

Jenn i did not forget about your special day and i didnt have a picture when i posted the Utah trip below. And yes i stole this picture from facebook but i just wanted to say how great it was to come celebrate my cousin Jenn's wedding. Im so glad we were able to go to Utah and celebrate with them. Everything seemed so perfect besides the weather of course and im so happy for them. I love them both so much :)

Dinosaur Museum/Utah trip

We had the opportunity to go to Utah a couple weeks ago for my cousin Jenn's wedding. It was just me and the kids, my mom and sister Chelsea that went in our van because it has the most room. Joe wasn't able to miss school so he had to stay home :( The drive there and back was quite an adventure and after many stops for food and bathroom breaks we survived with the kids. Here are the kids passed out in their car seats on the drive down to Utah from Spokane. Chelsea was the luckiest with the whole back seat to herself. And i just have to say we have only had our van for a couple months but i sure do love it and it made the trip that much more fun driving in the van. Sorry if i seem weird about how fun it was but its still crazy to think i am one of those moms with a SWEET van:) Love purple people eater a.k.a Barney
The first night the kids had a hard time going to bed and didnt want to stay in their cribs so i put them in together and of course they loved it. But i put Sydney back in her own bed so Talan wouldn't crush her in the night. They aren't asleep in the picture, they're just closing their eyes from the flash of the camera.
We had some fun times shopping and hanging out with cousins but on our last day in Utah we went to the dinosaur museum at thanksgiving point. My mom, my aunt Jane and cousins Jill and Emily and their kids all went and we were able to get half off admission because Emily's family has a season pass to thanksgiving point. So Jealous!!! Talan is obsessed with dinosaurs and knows a lot of their names but for some reason when we went to the museum everything with teeth was a T-Rex. T-Rex! T-Rex! T-Rex! The museum was very exciting for the kids and I'm glad we decided to go.

Emily with Halle, Abby and Talan.

Talan and Owen playing with the sand and water. I knew Talan was done when i saw a chunk of wet sand chucked across the room landing on the floor. And im sorry i didnt get good pictures of the kids looking at the camera. Clearly they are having way more fun than to look at the camera.

Afterwards we went and ate lunch and got delicious ice cream somewhere right next to the museum at thanksgiving point (not sure the name). Sydney was sitting in the car seat while i was helping Talan and looked over to this. She has slipped down and was stuck between the seats. Me and my mom also took the kids to the bean museum that night which Talan also loved. It was so neat to see all the animals. I always say Talan loved and not Talan and Sydney loved and thats probably because Talan is finally at the age where he really enjoys things and Sydney i know has fun but is still just along for the ride at 14 months.

The trip was short and the weather was sadly crappy and rainy the whole time we were there while Spokane had gorgeous weather but we still had a blast visiting family. Can't wait to go back with Joe and enjoy more fun things with better weather i hope.
